Goodreads asked C. Edward Baldwin:

How do you get inspired to write?

C. Edward Baldwin I've wanted to write since my sophomore year in college. I thought I had the talent to write, but not necessarily the skill. I was my biggest naysayer. I'd start a project and then not finish it. Start another one and not finish it. In 2009, I started yet another project. Right after I started that one, later titled, Fathers House, my mother died. It was her death that inspired me to finally finish a story. I felt Fathers House was connected to her in some way. So, good or bad, after her death, I knew I would finally finish a story.
