Never, never look at it as a way to make money. I'm not saying you can't make a living at writing. I'm just saying write because you want to. If writing means that much to you, you'll adjust your lifestyle to afford yourself time to put your words out. If you're really a writer at heart, writing is the only way you'll truly be happy even if you must do something else to eat for a while.
