How do you get inspired to write?

Julie Whitley I have loved books since before I could read them myself. It seemed a natural progression for me to go from listening to other's stories to wanting to make up my own. At the age of nine, I started my first book. It was a daunting task and never finished, so I started writing short stories instead. One of my favourite high school English teachers encouraged me to continue to write. Creative writing classes sprinkled throughout the years kept my interest alive and provided me with the story line for my book.
