Noel Anenberg A few years back in a sleepy California beach town a 14 year old boy carried a pistol to his middle-school computer lab then shot a 15 year old boy in the back of the head. Both boys were severely abused and neglected by their parents. Both boys were victims of a tragedy brought about by self-interested teachers and school administrators who received no punishment for their failure to act in both boys' interests. The press and social media made one boy a martyr and the other a demon when both youngsters were just boys. My next novel, a true crime story, will serve to correct the record and hold those responsible for this tragedy accountable.
