In order for me to write about something, it has to be really clear in my mind. I find that writing is one of the best ways for me to study what I'm interested in.
When I teach, I can often see when people have questions or don't follow what I"m saying. I ask for questions and then try to clear things up. However, it isn't possible for me to be there with readers, so I have to make sure that what I'm writing is really crystal clear.
