Goodreads asked Gordon P. Bois:

How do you get inspired to write?

Gordon P. Bois I get inspired by interacting with people; be it conversations, experiences, directly and indirectly, taking what I want from said situations and putting it down on paper. Other times, I pay attention to the goings on of the world around me, which includes my community and the happenings of others, regardless of whether I know the person or not. I seldom get inspired by other writers, but it does happen, and I am thankful for it. When I read a great piece by another poet, novelist, or even a singer/song writer, it pushes me to put more an effort forth in whatever it is that I'm doing at the time.
