Different ways, depending on the story/genre. My two favorite resources are nameberry.com (for first names) and names.mongabay.com (for last names). For the Oh. My. Gods. and Sweet Venom series I looked at a look Greek names and names from Greek mythology. For the Forgive My Fins series I used a lot of names for actual sealife (like Periwinkle and Whelk and Dosinia).

I just finished the Oh. My. Gods. series, and I have read Sweet Venom and Forgive My Fins too. I've been trying to get City Chicks lately, but do you have any books that you like, or think your readers should try as well? And, have you ever though of expanding the Oh. My. Gods.?
