What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Laurie McCammon Being in that zone where your inner passion and gifts meet the world's greatest needs. It's a feeling of exhilaration, like being plugged into some larger, cosmic flow. You feel somehow carried along by it, and not in charge of it. I love that sense of surrendering to the process and for me, it is easiest to access this feeling through writing, though I sometimes break through to this place while speaking.
