Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kadee Carder Insurrection sits very near and dear to my heart. A group of my friends, when we were in those confused pre-teen/early teen years, played games together after school. The characters from the series emerged from those afternoons, and a variety of other memorable moments from my younger years -- seeing a beautiful sail boat in the harbor near Corpus Christi, Texas, and my years of softball practice --all combined to serve as the foundation of the story premise.
