While writing the story, did you feel yourself living in that moment--that time and space? Sometimes reading takes my senses to the story's place, and I feel a connection. And, I don't want to leave it.

Elinor Florence Hello, Norma Iris -- I think any good book will take you away to another time and place. And while I was writing the book, that definitely happened to me. I was so immersed in the time period that I hated to leave it. I found wartime expressions creeping into my speech! How I wish I could time travel back into the 1940s. I suppose all historical writers feel the same way.
