Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Olivia Jake My most recent, BETTER THAN NONE, unfortunately was borne out of my mother’s battle with cancer. I started writing it while waiting in the hospital during her initial diagnosis. Most of the cancer-related story is very, very close to reality. All of the romance is fiction. I was very reluctant to release it because I’ve always said I write and read romance as a way to escape, and have never understood why anyone would want to read about real-life topics like cancer… Writing it was somewhat cathartic. It allowed me to escape the sadness that was caring for my dying mother.
