How do you get inspired to write?

S.M. Pratt Life is a bottomless pit of inspiration. I'm also extremely curious, in all aspects of life. Asking, 'What if...?' can create the spark I need to write a new book. Some ideas come to me when I stir in bed at night, unable to fall asleep. From there, I keep pushing my imagination, trying to figure out what could happen if this or that... Next thing I know, I've got a full-fledged mental outline. The tough (and crucial) part is then to capture it all before I forget and drift to sleep.
