How do you get inspired to write?

K.M. Kennedy I loved books and reading as long as I can remember, and somewhere along the line, I wanted to not just read books, but write my own stories and illustrate them...I started putting stories down on paper when my children were young and then we would illustrate them together on rainy day.
Now I like to just absorb the world around me, sometimes its walking on the beach, sometimes its reading books by many different authors, sometimes watching a movie just for fun....you never know when an idea pops is going to pop into your head....so you don't forget the thought, think about text messaging yourself the idea right when it pops into your thoughts!
