I am a big fan of spy stories. I wondered what it would look like if the typical assassin/spy was shown to be on a spiritual journey. Furthermore, what if that spy moved within marginalized society instead of high-rolling casinos or high-tech hideouts? Rat-gêló is just such a spy, a protagonist unlike any other in the genre that I have ever encountered. He is the Gypsy Spy.

Hi Nikolas, great to meet you! I used the name Larum for my writing because it was my grandmother's maiden name. She was Fanny Larum who was brought up in South Bank near Middlesbrough in the NE of England. She had a brother called George and I believe he emigrated to Australia and has family there. Fanny was my Dad's mother and I was lucky enough to know her until she died when I was 8 years old. ?
