Louise Phillips
The inspiration had two strands. A true life story of a fifteen-year-old Irish girl who perished at the birth of her son, a story which has stayed with me ever since, and a short story by the same name of the novel 'LAST KISS'. It had a female killer who became obsessed with a new man in her life, with tragic results. Her voice appeared again in another short story and then I knew she had a longer story to tell.
