I have a good plot for a story, but I need more details, more subplots. What tips to you have for developing a plot?

You need to decide what you want your characters to do, as in, what's the point of the story? Is it getting the One Ring to Mordor? Is it marrying Mr. Darcy? Decide what you need to get your main character to that end point, and go from there.

I've been reading the Tuesdays in the Castle books to my 7 year old sister and she loves them. Thanks for writing a book that a 7 and 19 year old can enjoy together, with our 12 and 17 year old brothers occasionally dropping by to listen in. Are there any stories (retellings or otherwise) that you want to write, but haven't? Why haven't you written them? Will you write them?
