Goodreads asked Justin Donner:

How do you get inspired to write?

Justin Donner Writing allows ideas to surface through a story, to dissect and discuss controversy without blatantly stating those ideas or opinions. You can tell somebody something, or you can show them. If a picture is worth a thousand words, than those words can paint a myriad of portraits that each reader can interpret their own way for a personal, meaningful experience. Painting these pictures to examine my thoughts for others to take as they will is what inspires me, trying to understand behavior and the world and understand why controversy is controversial when it is truthful and real and more common than we know.
