Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Laura K. Curtis It was actually sort of a dare or maybe a bar bet. I am not sure. I knew nothing whatsoever about the world of sex toys, but years ago I told someone at a conference that I would write whatever someone would pay me to write. (At the time, I was not yet published). In fact, I said, I'd write about a sex toy saleswoman if someone would buy it. And once I'd said that, Evie wouldn't leave me alone. She kept poking me while I was working on other things, going "hey, remember me? I'd like a story now." So eventually I gave in and wrote her one and Toying With His Affections was born.
