Hi, A.G, I'm a new author and I just self-published my first short story. I know you were successful with self-pubbing (congrats!) and I was just wondering how you marketed in your early days and how you got your books and your name out there? Thank you and congrats again!

Hi Samantha,
Congratulations on publishing your first story! My wife posted my book on Facebook and encouraged her friends to try it. I also enrolled in KDP Select, which made my book available to the Kindle Owner's Lending Library. KDP Select now includes access to Kindle Unlimited. Both are fantastic programs for new authors. Select also includes some marketing programs that enable you to put your book in front of targeted readers.
Many authors I know have found more success with full length novels vs short stories, though short fiction remains a great way to dip your toes in the water. I would certainly encourage you to make your short story into a full-length novel or write a new work at full-length as your next step.
Good luck!

Just read through all three of the Origin Series books. Fantastic fun! I'm a sci-fi/fantasy geek at heart but I was especially enjoying the Bourne/Bond/MissionImpossible type vibe going at the start of the first book. With David doing his best to stay one step ahead of . I read that you're working on a thriller set on Earth - should we expect to see more of that type of action?

I finally received the third book in your series. My whole public library system did not carry your books, until I (and I am sure others) requested that they purchase your books. Now they have many copies of all your books. Two of my favorite characters are the two little boys. Where did you get the inspiration for the two little math whizzes that are autistic? I'm a fan and will read any future fiction from you.
