Susan Appleyard Oh, that is such a hard question. I know whatever I answer tonight or tomorrow, I will say to myself - I should have chosen them! So I'll jump right in with both feet and say Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville because I devour any books about them and their period.

I'm writing a novel with almost the identical title to your book. Mine is 'This Son of York'. I hope you won't feel aggrieved! It's an alternative history: what if Richard III won at Bosworth and how would his reign have turned out? There'll be two books. The title of the second: 'In a Foreign Field'. Progress is slow because the day job (I'm a publisher's editor) gets in the way. I've put your book 'down to read'.
