I loved watching Yuri and Lara in the film Dr Zhivago because of the intensity and passion in their relationship against a turbulent historical background. It was tragic yet beautiful. I will never forget the romantic setting of the frozen dacha in the Russian countryside where they shared their poetic love in respite from the cruel and sterile world around them. Doctor Zhivago was adapted from the book Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak.
