Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Rob Shepherd I don't think I have a traditional fictional couple, the term can be broad and taken in many ways. In my case I think my favorite fictional couple would be "Gentle" & "Pie-oh-Pah" from Clive Barker's Imajica. The reason being, in short, is that they are both a world away from each other in personality, physicality, even reality. Both are flawed but inherently good "people". However both are wonderfully complex and rich in character. There is a lot of dynamism and friction, yet the tenderness behind the love both have for each other whether they realize it or not, is extraordinarily powerful. There is so much to read, to discuss and to generally think about after reading the book, but especially after each interaction between Gentle and Pie. They are incredibly rich and engaging characters, that between them you are left wondering just where the story will take them and in what direction it will take their relationship. These two in particular, hold a very special place in my mind and in my literary heart.
