“Wild animals are less wild and more human than many humans of this world”

Benjamin Alire Sáenz
“I mean, okay, let's say we're all going to get better. Let's just pretend we will. Fine. Where are we going to go after we get better? What are we going to do with all of our newfound healthy behaviors? Back out into the world that screwed us up and screwed us over. This does not sound promising.”
Benjamin Alire Sáenz, Last Night I Sang to the Monster

Jessamine Chan
“A mother is always patient. A mother is always kind. A mother is always giving. A mother never falls apart. A mother is the buffer between her child and the cruel world.”

“The Devils have walked with me across many regions.”

Carla H. Krueger
“There is just too much cruelty, selfishness and corruption in the world not to want to crush the poisonous will of those who cause it by writing about it as powerfully as I can.”
Carla H. Krueger

Guillermo del Toro
“When she finally wrapped her arms around the girl, the softness stirring in her heart frightened her. It was dangerous to be soft in this world.”
Guillermo del Toro, Pan's Labyrinth: The Labyrinth of the Faun

Paul Theroux
“The world is plain rotten. People are mean, they're cruel, they're fake, they always pretend to be something their not. They're weak. They take advantage. A cruddy little man who sees God in a snake, or the devil in thunder, will take you prisoner if he gets the drop on you. Give anyone half a chance and he'll make you a slave; he'll tell you the most awful lies. I've seen them, running around bollocky, playing God. And our friends... they'll be lonely out there. They'll be scared. Because the world stinks.”
Paul Theroux, The Mosquito Coast

Mladen Đorđević
“The world as we know it, cruel, dark and hopeless, have gifted us one more reason why, as a species, shoud we accept the fact that we're living in absolute ignorance. One more chunk of food for our fears and desperations. One more nightmarish and haunting thought for our dreams.”
Mladen Đorđević, Svetioničar - Pritajeno zlo

Paul Theroux
“The world is plain rotten. People are mean, they're cruel, they're fake, they always pretend to be something their not. They're weak. They take advantage. A cruddy little man who sees God in a snake, or the devil in thunder, will take you prisoner if he gets the drop on you. Shonjuk Chakma

Anoir Ou-chad
“People are cruel sometimes; but kindness always wins.”
Anoir Ou-Chad

Anoir Ou-chad
“Although people can be cruel sometimes, kindness always wins. Enmity breaks hearts apart, but love assembles the pieces.”
Anoir Ou-chad, The Alien

“Blind Heart’s.

In the circle of life, a sorrowful tale,
Where death and life dance an endless wail.
Hungry eyes search for morsels to devour,
Survival's cruel game with each passing hour.

Angst and fear grip hearts, cold and bleak,
Aching souls yearning for solace they seek.
In a world that lacks fairness, unjust and unkind,
Tears fall like rain, leaving scars behind.

Hatred and love, a twisted embrace,
In this nature of existence, a bitter chase.
For when darkness looms,
Love hides in despair,
Yet hate finds its mark,
leaving hearts threadbare.

We,
people who turn blind eyes to the cries,
As if suffering and anguish were mere lies.
Ignoring the plight that surrounds us all,
Humanity's downfall, a deafening fall.

But what of the animals, creatures so dear?
Caught in this cycle, their voices unclear.
Silently they suffer, their pain left unheard,
In nature's cruel script, an unspoken word.

Children on ground, black and white
Dying, Drying while survival trying.
Scars defining not body, but soul
Oh light, forgive us Lord.

The circle spins on, in sorrow it turns,
A tragic symphony,
where hope rarely burns.
In this poem of life,
where sadness takes hold,
Let us open our eyes,
let compassion unfold.”
Astivan Mirza

Thomas de Quincey
“During some years, I hoped that she did live; and I suppose that, in the literal and unrhetorical use of the word, myriad, I may say that on my different visits to London, I have looked into many, many myriads of female faces, in the hope of meeting her. I should know her again amongst a thousand, if I saw her for a moment; for, though not handsome, she had a sweet expression of countenance, and a peculiar and graceful carriage of the head. - I sought her, I have said, in hope. So it was for years; but now I should fear to see her; and her cough, which grieved me when I parted with her, is now my consolation. I now wish to see her no longer; but think of her, more gladly, as one long since laid in the grave; in the grave, I would hope, of a Magdalen; taken away, before injuries and cruelty had blotted out and transfigured her ingenuous nature, or the brutalities of ruffians had completed the ruin they had begun.”
Thomas de Quincey

P.S. Jagadeesh Kumar
“For your shame, punishment, and cruelty ain't the same”
P.S. Jagadeesh Kumar

Savas Mounjid
“Pride and passion are an intense compilation, as beautiful as it looks on the outside, it's toxic beneath the surface; creating a cruel world where your feelings and principles don't matter, goals don't matter, where nothing and no one matters.

Still, people cave in to that intensity, pursuing a fondness for balancing reality and imagination. Because, like a drug, it can make you feel more alive in the moment than anything else - while silently killing some of you inside, little by little, till you finally snap...”
Savas Mounjid, The Broken Lift

T.M Cicinski
“This land of ours is a savage place,” she thought. “It is a land of fang and claw; of fishing spear and skinner’s knife; of blood and scalding suns. Yet it is a beautiful place nonetheless. There are places in the world that are more savage, I am sure, but there can be no place more beautiful.”
T.M Cicinski, From Whence The Rivers Run

K. Weikel
“With the world the way it is, would you want to leave the only place you’re welcome?”
K. Weikel, When Dead Men Breathe

Yarro Rai
“The world has envied those who loved truly and passionately and they always will because they are alive in a way one cannot be alive by mere food or breathe.”
Yarro Rai, Beyond Passion and Dreams: Two Souls. One Fire. No Survivors.

“Kuch dhundhla sa yaad hai; kuch dhundhla sa he dekhti hun; woh sehmi si andheri raat, woh aik ajeeb si khamoshi aur phankay ki ahista se chalne wali bechain awaaz. Khirki per nazar pri to yun lga jese chand or sitaron ki lapait mein mehfooz hun mein; lekin achanak woh jo aik dastak hui aur dill ki dharakne ki raftar kuch tez maloom hui balkay khassi tez maloom hui ese jese kisi ne mun per hath rakh dya hou; tharthrahat aur ghabrahat k sath awaz halak se nikal rhi hai lekin koi sunne wala nahi ya awaz he nahi thi. woh khamosh si aah-o-pukaar, woh nazron ka gir jana, aur honton ka khushk hojana; woh jo yun mehsoos hua k shayad kisi ki mojoodgi ka najaiz ehsas hua, kisi ka hona na gawaar kya, na zeb lga; khassa haya ka daman chaar hou rha tha, kaheen badboo si mehsoos hui; shayad woh qatal-e-khass ho rha tha, khuda dekh raha tha; uski woh garam sansain aur meri khamosh siskyan; laal joray per kali siyaahi ka rung charh raha tha, woh jora mehaz aik hawa ka jhonka sa mehsoos hua jo tez andhi ki nazar hogya; woh kaheen mehfil-e-khass loot raha tha, mein usi mehfil mein khud ko zinda dargor ker rhi thi; aur kaheen chambeli ka phool murjha gya, baghbaan kahan tha? Koi to dastak thi jiske hone per yun lga, woh jo me mehfooz thi apne he ghar mein woh mehaz aik khayal tha; aik veham-o-ghuman tha; jo kaheen us raat k andhere mein dher hogya.”

Inio Asano
Inio Asano, Goodnight Punpun Omnibus, Vol. 5

“Не жди милосердя, доньцю! Милосердя на світі нема ні в кого, а найменше у тих, що так поступають. Та й... на що воно тобі придасться? Хіба тоді придасться, як ти по тім всім ходиш по милостиню, тиняєшся від хати до хати, але зрештою - "милосердя". Господи боже! Сохрани нас перед тим, щоб ми його потребували. Так, донцю.”
Мавра

Anuradha Bhattacharyya
“Mother Nature never nurtures a weakling. Mother Nature throws out the infirm and the dwindling kind. She wants to be watered by the wealth of the worthy people. She strikes down the poor, the illiterate, and the burdens on her soil, by leaving them groveling on the pathway.”
Anuradha Bhattacharyya, Light Inspired

Michael Bassey Johnson
“Those who suicided were not weak, neither were they stupid. They were solely driven by pain. They were tough people who could not bear to behold themselves get continually slapped around by life.”
Michael Bassey Johnson, Stamerenophobia

“Nobody told me where the devil lived.
I found him hidden in a human whom I believed.”
Monika Bhatti

Kabashe Pillay
“In a world where minds are becoming idle and artificial intelligence is taking over
In a world where one person steps on another in order to reach higher
In a world where flesh eats flesh for taste and not for survival
In a world where people are unable to read character and are easily influenced by talks and smiles
In a world where respect is slowly becoming unheard off and disrespect is taking over
In a world where intoxication of all sorts fill the minds of young and old
In a world where one person has a mountain of food whilst the other has none at all
In a world where charity is done to gain views and followers
In a world where humanity is unable to feel each others pain and that of all earth's creatures
Oh my
In this beautiful world
Humanity has lost its purpose”
Kabashe Pillay
