temporarily shelved: I have the attention span of a gnat. Sorry, book. It's not your fault. We'll meet again. did not finish:You and I are done for good, baby. not interested: I know enough about you and it's a solid nope. The rest are self-explanatory, save for where the fck did I put this, which is a (mostly futile) attempt to sort out what's missing from my house or hard drive.
Rating info (a work in progress)
0 stars kill it with fire: What did I subject myself to? WHY?
1 star: Nope. Didn't like it. Maybe because it wasn't my cup of tea, maybe because it was crap, who knows. There is a possibility that the book was so bad it was inadvertently hilorious (hilarious+glorious) and I honestly laughed my socks off. It still gets one star.
2 stars: The great land of Meh, or, close but no cigar.
3 stars: A book I mostly liked, warts and all.
4 stars: A good/very good read, something I enjoyed, would recommend to others and most probably reread.
5 stars: Hello book. I want to have your babies.
7 stars - books that blew me away: Self-explanatory. I will remember, quote, recommend and reread the shit out of this. Squeee-levels of adoration have been reached.
I'm always open to suggestions, so if you believe I'm missing an awesome book, please let me know :)
I don't read books/comics where there are graphic depictions of pets dying. Humans I can handle (and I love me some horror) but pet death will reduce me to a sobbing mess.
Last but not least, as a woman, a feminist and a rational human being, I have a thing with misogyny and/or shitty representation of women. I don't care if it's part of a literary masterpiece or what have you, crap is still crap....more
