Below is a GOODREADS TUTORIAL for new members.

1. Click on one of the shelves on the left side, for example “5-star-nonfiction.” You will see all of those reviews. I put all my 4 ½ and 5 star reviews on those shelves.
2. Click on the word "all" under "bookshelves" to return to all books. In the upper right search box, type the name of an author, then click search, you will see all my books for that one author.
3. If you click on a column heading, it will sort alphabetically by title, author, or stars.
It’s good to enter all the books you read and to give them a rating. Then you can go to any member’s page and click “compare books.” You’ll see all the books you two have in common and how each of you rated them. It’s a great way to find members who like what you like.
If you “Follow” or are “Friends” with someone, you will see their reviews listed first when you go to a book page.
Once a day I get one email which shows all reviews posted that day by my “Friends.” I do not get an email showing reviews by people I “Follow.” That’s the main difference between Friends and Follow.
If you click “send message” to me (below this section), it is private. An email is sent to me. Other members won’t see it.
Friends can do “comments” to each other (at the bottom of this page). Those are seen by others....more
