“I had stopped writing the article but as soon as I woke up this morning and opened Facebook, I saw on the memoir page "November 6, Jammu Martyrs' Day." If I found this heading in the name of, I thought why not turn the pages of history on the occasion of this day again by taking off the lens of prejudice and bias.
During the October-November period in the Jammu region of the state of Jammu and Kashmir after the partition of India, many Muslims were massacred and some were transferred to West Punjab. The killings were carried out by extremist Hindus and Sikhs, who were aided by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh, as well as the forces of the state of Patiala, which were already present, also took part in the massacre.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Singh (RSS) and its activists played a key role in planning and carrying out the riots. An estimated 20,000,000, 100,000 Muslims were massacred, thus reducing the Jammu region, which made up 61% of the Muslim population, to a minority by massacring only 31%.”

“The Public Safety Act, 1978, was introduced by Sheikh Abdullah in 1978 to deal with smuggling. Farooq Abdullah, GM Shah, Mufti Sayeed, GN Azad, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti have all been chief ministers of JK. They could have easily repealed the PSA and prevented untold suffering and human rights violations,”
