Characters As always, the character development is spectacular. Initially I hated that this book was all Chaol and no Aelin.... but it actually turned out to be one of my favorites. The Throne of Glass series is Sarah’s one series where the characters are so fleshed out, nothing is left to the imagination. I also loved the dynamic between the southern royalty. Made things very interesting and added so many lovable characters.
Story Line I also love how her story lines are so interconnected! We learn so much vital information in this book. It was just as good reading it the second time. The first time I read this, I remember being blown away by the sheer realization that happens with the source of Erawans power, stygian spiders and the revealing of a dark queen who is actually Valg. (To be fair, I knew this from the first moment we met Maeve. Even when it was addressed and they said she was not Valg.... I still didn’t believe it. So this book held a huge “AH HA” moment for me.)...more
