"I have more issues with this book than with his previous one. First the exposition is too long. 80 pages of exposition for a 300p book is. Not. Good.
Then the MC is not working at all : she's far too skittish and paranoïd. Noone skittish and paranoïd would accept a job alone in a house in the middle of a massive empty forest. The over-anxious character of his first novel worked, here it feels like a repeat." — May 28, 2026 10:20AM
