"It's a really good choice for me,
I'm more glancing at it right than reading it-I'm almost finished with Gilchrist and the one by Joe Hill called NOS4A2 and I just finished his book called The Fireman and the one called Heart Shaped Box. Oh yeah-I just finished up 20th Century Ghosts by him too."

I was really liking the story, the situation two adult brothers, two young rescues siblings from certain death and a young woman who lost her children and her husband to the savage creatures 85% of the human race has become- the first two books were great, had a clear outline of the relationships within the small group and the heart pounding drum you get when characters you've invested your time and gien your immediate emotional sense of well being to the author's ability to keep you glued until the end-safe and glad you just spent 3 hours immersed in their world, only in this case you don't. Books 1 grabbed me from the beginning because it is about two male siblings that both like each other but follow each other's lead without arguing and they are good med, with a drive that causes them to try and do the right thing, even when it most likely will get them seriously injured if not dead. They led me flying through the pages of book 1 and book 2 and most of book 3 and then right at the end of the story it just stopped running. No shocks, no surprises, just ...nothing. It badly needs a rewrite, a real ending or a follow up act that leads notebook 4 but there's nothing. Just a match burning out. So, unless book 3 gets a rewrite it's just my worth the few hours it took to read the three volume story.

“Teenagers.” Peter smiled. “Everything’s the end of the world. I kind of miss that feeling, you know?” “Why?” I asked, bewildered. “I don’t.” “The feeling that everything’s so imperative, because your emotions are always so poignant? It was great. Everything mattered.” “Everything was terrible,” I said. “No, everything was exciting,” he said. “Seeing the person you liked was like the most epic thing ever. You could spend the whole day anticipating the encounter.”

“Once you’re an adult, all the feelings get replaced by responsibilities and the sense that no matter how much you’re doing, it’s never enough,”
