“discovered, in both the Inner and Outer Worlds of our creation, Wisdom Keepers are waiting to appear to us. It is our choice whether we follow our calling – to awaken from the deep sleep that we have been subjected to and make the journey. Teachers come in all forms, and are not always who or what we are expecting them to be. My experiences are summarised by the first thing I always say when running courses and workshops, ‘Have no expectations.”
― Barbara Meiklejohn-Free, The Shaman Within: Reclaiming our Rites of Passage

“Through our loss of a worldview . . . we have lost our connection to the rest of the living planet. As Thomas Berry says, we must find a new story, a narrative that includes us in the continuum of Earth’s time and space, reminding us of the destiny we share with all the planet’s life, restoring purpose and meaning to human existence.”
― Bron Taylor, Dark Green Religion: Nature Spirituality and the Planetary Future

“I had come to appreciate the long open stretches of two-lane highway across the sagey sea and mountain-studded plateau of the Great Basin, but the towns and cities were another thing. I liked the natural face of Nevada, but was not as impressed by the human face.”
― Neil Peart, Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road

“The more deeply involved we are with what we do, the more power it has to affect change.”
― Nimue Brown, Druidry and Meditation
