“The first involves understanding and prioritizing all of the problems they have to solve. The second involves calculating the cost of leaving those problems unsolved (see Figure 4.4).”
This is also great for training students how to learn. Too often, they simply want different strategies to try to increase their ACT scores. However, the strategies they should try are so dependent on their specific problems, and so few of them take the time to brainstorm and diagnose their problems.
