“Badania prowadzone w Krakowie przez zespół prof. Jędrychowskiego z Collegium Medicum UJ wykazały bardzo wyraźną korelację między poziomem narażenia matki na pył zawieszony i WWA w czasie ciąży a niższą wagą urodzeniową, zwiększoną śmiertelnością noworodków oraz patologiami w ogólnym rozwoju dziecka w wieku późniejszym. Poza zwiększonym ryzykiem występowania astmy i infekcji dróg oddechowych krakowskie dzieci wykazują też średnio deficyt ok. 4 pkt w testach ilorazu inteligencji.”
