Pick this up for Hinduism

Hindus In Hindu Rashtra is an attempt by Dr. Anand Ranganathan (like many others) to wake up Hindus from their slumber & 'how does it affect me' attitude. To this effect the author has offered a sneak peek into 8 sample, but core issues directly infringing on our fundamental rights. The book manages to cover the discrimination and marginalization of the Hindu community and the negative impact of certain laws and amendments. Not that we are not aware of these, just that we have got accustomed to looking the other way. These 8 chapters are a refresher, a window to the wide world of issues and challenges plaguing us and threatening our very existence. Not only awareness, this book encourages introspection.

8 Chapters bound by Temple Control & Worship Act at either ends, which are of course the bedrock of Sanatana Dharma, to remind us why we are 8th class citizens in our own Bharath:
1. State Control of Hindu Temples
2. Injustice towards Kashmiri Hindus
3. The Waqf Act, 1995
4. The RTE Act
5. Legislations that Appease Non-Hindus but Target Hindus
6. Judiciary that Almost Exclusively Tries to Reform Hinduism
7. Celebrating Those Who Killed and Converted Millions of Hindus
8. Places of Worship Act, 1991

If you are someone like me, you may find it discomforting to come across some prominent voices from the right expressing doubts and displeasure at the current dispensation at the center. I am sure, you'll come around to understand & agree with their view by the end of this dynamo of a book. Let's all read it, discuss it, spread it, gift it. Do whatever it takes, because, if not now, it will be never.
