Really good

I'm glad I can nearly put this book on my living room "read" shelf (my bedroom "to read" shelf is overflowing!) and even though my thoughts on the author's irritating 'trying to be trendy' writing style and the obvious appeal to younger readers, I am definitely soaking in nostalgia and I'm not sure that I will want to say goodbye to Mel Beeby once I finish the third book in this omnibus! 😂

I'm surprised how much of these stories I've remembered from 13, 14 years ago, especially because I only started learning English proper less than a years prior to starting this series.

Haven't been reading much lately — just a couple of chapters here and there. Going back to a book I liked when I was 12 is strangely comforting though, so I'm glad I picked this up.

Disregarded my #boutofbooks TBR pile because after some disheartening discoveries today, I needed a pick-me-up more than anything else. Book 1, Winging It, was a breeze and I can see why I enjoyed reading this series when I was 13 years old.
