Today I continued reading in my chapter on Existentialism and its legacy. While reading I discovered that existential, "[The] general concern with existence," should be distinguished from the existentialist, "[Which] is, having to do with the historical movement, existentialism" (Crowell 16). Which I found very unexpected.

Crowell talks about how existentialism has "never disappeared from the public imagination as a stance toward the world" (Crowell 3). He basically talks about how existentialism is much more popular than say rationalism or utilitarianism within the general public because it is something everyone can talk about or think about.
