Loving this story so far.

I'm trying, I really am, there were so many run-on sentences sentence fragments; and are independent clauses connected by commas and, misuse of commas, semicolons it's, annoying me a lot, and general grammar goofs I didn't know if I can continue it.

Ugh. I'm a bitch...and I'm not that sorry.

I just don't know. It started out rather gritty and, within the confines of the mind-control conceit, realistic. I wasn't enjoying the writing or the copious typos, but I was engrossed in the story. The protagonist has a lot of potential. THEN, it took a sharp-right into <spoiler> Lazarus is still around, religious war, church-stuff, </spoiler>and I'm not feeling it at all. Will give it a bit more time/not hopeful.

Although I find the premise intriguing, I'm frustrated at the horrid punctuation (and I'm not talking about the differences in UK rules vs US rules), many tense mistakes, and a lot of really clunky sentences. Don't get me wrong: there's some good stuff here, and a bit of the writing is even good, but overall...not. Really could have been amazing, but I'm finding it simply pretty good. Disappointed :(

Interesting, but heavy on the internalization, which makes it slow reading. I quite enjoy the flashbacks, as it gives the character more depth.
