I think the narrator not wanting to share her diagnosis with her family is so understandable when she explain that she doesn’t want to be treated like a ‘guest’

Character and their relationships with others seem really realistic - Mala snapping at Sachin and not thanking him for the cups or Abhi ‘burrowing like a scared creature’ - found the first chapter interesting
