Status Updates From Man Alone

The memories we have are like family. We do not choose them. They choose us. They follow us and we follow them.

But what else is time, except loss?

We need people around us to remember who we were, to help piece everything together for us. Without them, we cease to exist for long periods. There is a danger that when you are alone no one can confirm who you are for that period. You have no alibi for your existence. No one can tell a story about you.

A planet's orbit is affected by the gravitational forces of the sun and other bodies around it so that it moves in relation to others. With the others gone, the course of my orbit has shifted. There must be a name for what I'm experiencing.
