This was a nice little look at how things were going back in Ixia.

More specifically, how Ari, Janco and Maren were doing, being Valek’s seconds on a typical day... until a magical problem arose.

A concept was introduced which I thought was interesting... Is that a hint at something from the last 3 books?

Just finished the short story Shattered Glass that acts as a bridge between Night and Dawn Study. In this, we see Opal again on a rescue mission to get Zitora back in the series after she’s been gone on a side quest.

Praise authors who put all their short stories into one book. Additional points to Maria for including fan art and a new story outlining Valek and Yelena’s marriage (very important).
