Status Updates From Vices and Vows

A lot of mafia stuff so far. And the author needs to do a better edit. The tense is changing. The brother is referring to the hero in second-person AND third-person (“you” and “he’ll) as the brother is addressing the hero.

Also noted an instance of weird tense in the conversation between the hero and heroine in their first exchange too.

This is just a straight up mafia story now. Which is not my thing.

I don’t love how the forced proximity just melts away to mutual obsession in this one. Why not push and pull a bit longer?

Candace isa solid author. I often pick up her books when i feel myself slipping into a slump.

The ending absolutely ruined this book. The plot twist that he was sent to kill her , then Aldo finding her and she lost all her memories with all these other complications was pointless and honestly ruined the entire book for me

I wish there was some reflection from his time in prison or like habits he can’t let go

Every time I put it down I want to open it again!
