I'm trying to figure this book out. MMC trope, I love the silent/ mute figure, but it appears to be saddled with a trope I hate, miscommunication. Now it's making me upset with how disrespectful it is to those who are mute. So this scary dude just waltzes inside the house you share with an 8 yo girl, says nothing for two weeks and you do nothing 🙄
