I could not get “Blue Nights”, her second essay in this book, which was supposedly also about the grief of losing her daughter. This part reminds me of when I tried to understand an essay by a journalistic legend who had lost his footing due to fame and privilege: out of focus, flaunting his achievements, yet brilliantly written (grammatically).
