This dog interaction is the best thing in this book so far and might even save this book from itself.

I'm not sure if this is a total personality transplant for Diem. He's acting a lot differently in this book.

Hold up. What am I missing? I feel like I’m dropped in the middle of something. Between book 2 ending and book 3 starting, things have happened that are mentioned super casually, as if they are not a big deal, especially for someone like Diem. I had to double check that I didn’t accidentally start listening to book 4 a couple of times.

This is taking me forever to read. This time I’m really invested in the case but have completely lost interest in Tallus and Diem and their relationship. 😭
