Status Updates From Broken (Reflections #1)

Yeah... Yeah I don't like this book. Even though we are finally past... Whatever that first half of the book was and into the meat of the romance, I'm still bored, annoyed and impatient.

This close to the end, it will get finished but ho boy, it needs something really good at its climax in order to redeem its rating.

Nearly halfway through the book a whole lot of nothing has happened. No actual paranormal crap of any sort (other than one vague foreshadowing incident), and what can only be the weakest premise for a love triangle.

This is positively glacial and is setting my teeth on edge. Even Twilight uttered the word vampire in its first 200 pages.

The version I'm reading and the one automated on Goodreads is different, because no way would I have even considered this if I knew the version I'm perusing is 550 bloody pages long.

This book was also acquired for free and is more me try to strike it off my Kindle's to read list really.

As for first impressions... it's giving Twilight vibes. But not in the empty calorie way. The other one.

Adriana's life for when she moves into a new place and goes to a different school goes downhill. She has ran into your typical toxic popular girl that gives you two choices of where things could great somehow or they could also ruin your life. It doesn't help that she's also failing two classes of the six she has. She also started getting into a bit of bickering with her mom here and there as well. That is not good.

The story starts off with a family that has been in the process of moving and a young teenage girl who has constant thoughts and worries about moving. She thinks about everything that would come with moving to a new school too, such as making friends and wanting to fit in. I think this book starts off great and I'm sure any teen who has had to transfer to a new school could relate easily to this stories topic.

Good so far. Don’t know how far I am in page and percentage wise because it was bought in a 7 book bundle .
But I’m up to Chapter 5 😎
I feel it is leading up to something big and I’m excited for it.
