4 year old Ethan is absolutely adorable, the adults are absolute idiots and behave more childish than the kid!

I am really getting sleepy and I'm afraid it's the book...

Kinda maudlin and a bit shameless in the use of the kid but...

Well crap. I just realized I have to finish it since it's part of a challenge. Dammit.

Wow, this is worse than I thought it would be. I may not be able to get through it after all. Bummer. :(

I'm not expecting much from this one, but thought I'd give it a go anyway since it's been on my kindle for a while.

Not sure that so much backstory being related between the two men was necessary. Way too much telling and not enough showing.

So far they aren't even flirting. Plus - this is an audiobook and the narrator sounds like he's reading a guided meditation. So soooothing...just what you look for in a m/m romance - right?!

*sniffle*

Uh oh. Bullies -especially rich bullies - don't like to be backed into a corner. This isn't gonna be pretty.

Cue rage-inducing fade to black on the MCs' first time together... Honestly, I just don't get it! Has any author ever heard their readers exclaim, "Gee! I LOVED that fade to black. It was SO hot! Gimme some more of that action!"?! No. Never. So why do they insist on doing it?!

Okay, even my cynical heart knows that was cute as all get out.

Oh good lord, you're grown ass men! SOMEONE make a move already!

Whoa. Uncle Lawrence went from being a douchey though relatively harmless homophobe to truly evil step-monster in about two sentences. I expect a soundtrack of "Muhahahaha!" to follow.

I get it. He's a client (and therefore off-limits). I appreciate you acknowledging this fact as it would have made me ragey if you ignored the breach of ethics a relationship between you two would have caused. However, I also don't need to read about it every other sentence. Please. That horse is dead; stop beating it. I beg you.

Oh phewf! At least the MC eventually realize what a patronizing ass he was being. That restores a little of my faith in this character.

Oh man. Did the author seriously drop the "You're just a nurse. You could be so much more; you could be a doctor!" conversation bomb? In this day and age? *gleefully lights a torch to pass to the mob of angry nurses sure to come after this author*

Why is the dialogue of the MC who is NOT a linguistics professor overly formal? Why does the author insist on telling rather than SHOWING?! Why is the kid on the cover a GIRL, but the kid in the book a boy!? These and about 100 other questions may never be answered, folks. *bangs head on table*

Gah! My frustration level just skyrocketed. Can't do spoiler tags in comment logs, so I'll save it for my review. Pretty sure I won't be recommending this one.

HOLY one-trick-pony! I'm skimming... SUCH a bummer. Let's hope things pick up after halftime.

This one won out over the others tonight. Hurt/healing/comfort 'n all, ya know!
