I have to keep reminding myself these stories were written in the early 1900s. This story was sweet and romantic but still a bit cringey.

The second story was kind of cute and amusing in a slightly crooked way, lol.

First story was interesting for its dialogue, especially the manner of speech, but it never really went anywhere.

The 'back in the good ol' days' attitude in the intro is a little cringey but this book was published 25 years ago so I'll let it slide 😅
