i like this book a lot a lot but can she listen properly to what the people around her have said about things? she just doesn't fucking listen and she misunderstand shits so much it's painful to watch. about vampire, about her situation, about the bowen and how they don't sell off their ppl to marry to the highest bidder, like fuck me it's such poor writing which is a shame cus this book has great potential

So I’m a sucker for vampires and books about them, and this book is no exception to that rule. I read so much of this book tonight…I stayed up way too late. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. The MMC is very charming and obsessed with his girl. It’s hot. I’ll probably finish tomorrow

Ugggh, I love the concept and the world, I like the set up, it's all super interesting, but the first time they have sex, there are *10 paragraphs* with the murderous vampire who kidnapped her confirming consent and the entire scene lost all its steaminess. Combine that with the heroine making huge assumptions and refusing to communicate with them and the book is going down hill.
