Status Updates From Eden: Book One

I feel horrible saying that I am reading her ARC copy, but the references and social commentaries had me SAT

Omfg I should’ve read the summary again before starting cuz I completely forgot Hansel the mc of the book. BRO WHY IS HE INTRODUCED IN THE THIRD CHAPTER?!? WHO INTRODUCES THE MC OF THE STORY IN THE THIRD CHAPTER OF THE STORY?!?

Anyway enjoying the story a lot. The writing could use some work there’s quite a few errors in the first 100 pages.

The action scenes so far are fast paced but slow at the same time. I realized why! There’s a lot of telling going on and not a lot of showing. Idk if showing would help it but telling less definitely will! Every action is described in a fight scene.

Other than that I’m enjoying the story. Especially the dialogues I think they flow nicely. After the first 30 pages the writing flows much better.

Easy to read so far but there are some minor errors within the writing (Some extra words or letters). The info dumping felt a little out of place on page 11, but I like how it was done with the speech in some later pages.

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this novel from the author in exchange for a review. I will honestly say that I don’t usually read this type of genre, but Lilith surprised me. Action is very hard to portray through a novel and Lilith does a great job at capturing the scenes with her words. This was an interesting read and I can’t wait to see what Lilith publishes in the future!
