Getting real hard to sympathize with Tover here.

The future still has homophobia, corrupt corporations, AND cheap ass particle board furniture. Great.

Please tell me Carida is not Space Mexico. It's totally Space Mexico, isn't it?

This *is* going to have a happy ending, right? Riiiiiight?

I've been stuck for weeks because I can't handle such an immersion into politics, terrorism, corporate autocracy, torture, and genocide.

So I'm going to skip ahead and read the end now. If it gives me the feel-good vibes I need to stay strong, I'll come back to this point and resume.

Totally, completely, 100% not in the mood for torture scenes.

Ending was kind of rushed, but still a great listen.

Oh, sure. Now they show up, at the worst possible time. Grrrr!

Unless something goes horribly wrong, this may be one of my favorite audiobooks of the year so far.

This was SOOOO good, OMG!!!

It was a trick he’d been taught many years ago by a lover, showing him how to bypass Harmony’s content filters to download gay pornography. Tover almost smiled at the thought that all those years furtively secreting videos of men fucking each other could end up saving a planet.

Yeah, who knew? LOL

I'm honestly scared to turn the page now. This is such a brilliant story.

Cruz gave him a long time, then the corner of his mouth lifted. “Brave men we are, able to risk life and limb for others, but unwilling to say what’s in our hearts.”

Just pointing out that it's not only a great sci fi plot, I also adore the romance <3

OMG, this is SOOOO good.

This is hands down the best sci fi story I've ever read in this genre...

Cruz didn’t answer for a long time, and when he did, he spoke quietly, his eyes a little glassy.
“Because you are a rare, beautiful flower. And I crushed you under my boot.”

“You okay?” Cruz asked Tover.
Tover spat blood in Cruz’s face.

Now that's the right reaction.
