She basically described the Boston tea party in mini phrases and he told her she'd must be an awesome teacher!!!??!? Sir you have not been in this world for 400 years and all your education has been from an Alexa at this point!
Again, love the premise but the characters are kinda driving me mad.

Ok. I'm enjoying the yearning. I like the building relationship. I'm enjoying the tone overall quite a bit. But what I can't get over is that she is a TEACHER and she literally does not care to educate him on the current day or make this huge time jump he's experienced any easier. I just feel a huge lack of empathy when she's working on being accepted herself for who she is but not showing him that kindness.

This is badly inconsistent. Moments of it seemed promising, and then we had the disappearing boots. First, he sees her wearing boots, but then he remarks she has no footwear. The vampire is from the 16th century and then sometimes understands modern collegialisms, then doesn't. It is very arbitrary.
This needed an editor. If I am only 14% in and the writing is making me not want to continue.
